plays2place productions collaborates with INCA Catalunya for A.T.A.C. Training Course

plays2place productions collaborates with INCA Catalunya – International Network for Culture and Arts for the Activist Theatre for Active Citizenship (A.T.A.C) Training Course.
The project is developed within the framework of Youth in Action Programme and plays2place productions is represented by Martha Bouziouri.

The training course “Activist Theatre for Active Citizenship” will take place in Llinars del Vallès (Barcelona), from the 3rd to the 9th of September 2013, for a total period of 7 days. 22 young people from Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Lithuania, Turkey, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Croatia and Greece will participate. The main topic of the project is European Citizenship, and the rights that go with it.
The main objectives of the project are to reflect on the concept of European Citizenship; to analyse the rights that go with it and the situations in some European countries that limit these rights (especially for young people); and to promote an active participation and citizenship in young people, in order to stop these phenomena of social exclusion that the lack of recognition of these rights implies. Working methods will be based on social theatre, clown and street theatre; the planned activities include simulations, debates, roleplaying games, interventions with the local community, theatre workshops, a final performance, and sessions aimed at introducing the Youth in Action Programme, at promoting new networking projects, at certifying the learning process of
participants through YouthPass, and at evaluating the project.
